The Wheel Works is the brainchild of Sheena Thompson, owner and operator of both Thompson Wheel Works and The Wheel Works. While working for The City of Guelph as a pottery instructor, it came to my attention that there is not enough studio space available for Open Studio times. Students would ask daily where they can go to practice and I realized that an open studio, teaching and production studio is a good business model.  

Sheena has deep roots in the community. With 5 generations to live in Guelph she is very excited to carry on the tradition of family run and owned businesses. With the support of her husband and son, she has been able to grow and succeed with her production pottery business for the last 3 years and now she has a space where she can up her game and earn more clientele. 

Guelph and area community is extremely important to Sheena and hopes that she can draw artists of all mediums to come try clay. Clay is a wondrous medium and we hope that you will come and love it as much as Sheena does.
